Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions

The booking, payment, GST, delivery, cancellation, safety and equipment terms that apply to One Click Events hires.

Effective 30 July 2026Plain-language policy

Effective date: 30 July 2026

Booking

A booking is not confirmed until the client returns a booking form, pays the costs required under these payment terms, and receives booking confirmation from One Click Events.

Payments

Prices are subject to change, so please check the current rate before booking. By paying any part of an invoice, the hirer agrees to these terms and conditions. To secure an event date, a non-refundable deposit of $200 must be paid within 5 days. Without confirmed payment after that period, One Click Events cannot continue to hold the date.

The outstanding amount must be paid at least 10 days before the event. A travel surcharge may apply to events more than 30 km from the Melbourne CBD. An idle fee may apply for extensive waiting periods.

The online system will never collect a deposit greater than the order total. If an order total is less than $200, the amount shown at checkout is capped at that total and the remaining balance is $0.

GST and online price presentation

The source pricing rule is that quoted base prices are plus GST.

For the rebuilt online storefront, product, delivery, discount, deposit, and total amounts are stored and presented in GST-inclusive cents. A cart or checkout amount marked “inc. GST” is therefore the total payable amount and an additional 10% will not be added at checkout. A manually prepared quote or invoice may instead show a GST-exclusive base amount and a separate GST line, but it must make the final GST-inclusive total clear.

Logistical requirements

The client must provide a safe and appropriate environment for One Click Events to operate its equipment.

  • Access to a space of 2 m × 3 m or more.
  • 220 V power within 5 m of the equipment.
  • An undercover, dry area when the event is held outdoors.

Cancellation

All deposits are non-refundable. If the hirer cancels within 30 days before the event date, the deposit can be held as credit for a future available booking within 6 months of the original booking. Prior notice is required for changes to the time or date of the event. One Click Events cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays at the venue.

Delivery and travel fees

There is no charge for delivery and travel from 0–30 km from the Melbourne CBD. A quote will be provided on request for events farther than 30 km from Melbourne. A 4-hour minimum hire applies to events farther than 50 km from Melbourne. Where paid parking is required, it must be arranged and paid for by the hirer.

Hiring, delivery and service

Delivery, setup and removal of a photo booth are free of charge and take place outside the rental period. The booth host will aim to arrive one hour before the hire time to set up. An earlier setup can be arranged with One Click Events and an idle fee may apply where setup is required much earlier than the designated hour. A trained booth host will remain close to the photo booth to help it run smoothly.

The hirer is liable for damage caused to the photo booth during the hire period.

Damage to equipment and safety

If there is a threat or implied threat of harm, damage or violence to staff or equipment, One Click Events may cease providing the service. If the client resolves the situation within 30 minutes, service will resume. If it cannot be resolved, service will not resume and the client will not receive a refund of the hire cost.

Damage to One Click Events equipment during the event caused by the client, a guest or any other person in attendance, whether invited or not, will result in the client being responsible for the cost to repair or replace the equipment.

Use of images

When hiring from One Click Events, the hirer gives permission for images taken at the event to be used on the One Click Events website, social media and in advertising, unless the hirer advises One Click Events before the event that they do not want their images used. One Click Events will not knowingly use images it considers unsuitable.

The privacy policy explains how to opt out and how personal information connected with event imagery is handled.

Liability and events outside our control

One Click Events will not be held responsible for circumstances outside its control, including fire, riot, civil commotion, accidents, acts of nature and equipment failure. If such circumstances arise, One Click Events will make reasonable efforts to provide the service or find a suitable replacement. If that is not possible, One Click Events will determine appropriate compensation in its discretion.

The client agrees that, to the extent permitted by law, One Click Events’ liability is limited to an amount equal to the hire cost and One Click Events is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Any variation to these terms and conditions must be agreed to in writing by One Click Events.
